scalp micropigmentation

for Alopecia

Alopecia is an unpredictable condition that causes significant distress to those who experience it. Frequently aggressive, changeable and recurrent, there are treatment options available but unfortunately no known cure. To date, scalp micropigmentation is the ONLY alopecia treatment to offer permanent, guaranteed results.

Scalp micropigmentation does not ‘cure’ alopecia. Instead, SMP provides a highly effective cover-up that requires no drugs, no injections, no lotions and no ongoing treatment or expense. For women looking for peace of mind and closure, scalp micropigmentation may be the ideal answer to their problem.

There are many types of alopecia, the most common being alopecia areata, traction alopecia and telogen effluvium. Scalp micropigmentation works for all alopecia types, although an assessment of your individual treatment needs is necessary for the most effective results.

how can smp

help me?

The scalp micropigmentation process is the application of tiny pigment deposits in the upper dermis of the scalp, to replicate the appearance of tiny micro hairs. These deposits create a fuller appearance and help to camouflage areas affected by alopecia including areas of generalized thinning, as well as more aggressive total hair loss in patches, often associated with alopecia areata.

The process itself takes place over 2-4 treatment sessions, each taking 2-4 hours to complete. The application is relatively painless and completely non-invasive. There is no downtime, with any redness subsiding in a few hours. Once your treatment is complete, you do not need to return to our clinic for several years, by which time your alopecia symptoms may have corrected themselves.

Every treatment is customized to your individual needs. For this reason we advise you to contact us to discuss your own situation and how SMP could be used to hide your alopecia symptoms.
